At The Dales Nursing Home in Exeter, the strength of our care comes from the extraordinary individuals who make our home truly special. Our staff are the heart of our community - bringing together clinical excellence, operational dedication, and heartfelt compassion to support our residents every day.

Who Makes Up Our Care Team?

  • Marie Brown, Manager With a nursing background and a career at The Dales spanning back to 2003, Marie embodies the ethos of “kindness first.” Her leadership, highly respected among the Exeter medical community, ensures that kindness, dignity, and respect remain central to everything we do.

  • Madison, Operations Manager Madison ensures the smooth running of our home, overseeing health & safety, operational excellence under CQC and HSE guidelines, and managing resident admissions, contracts, and funding.

  • Roger, Nursing Assistant With a paramedic background and three years on our team, Roger is invaluable—especially in emergencies. His calm expertise and support for the nursing team make him a trusted and respected presence.

  • Monique, Senior Care Inspired to join healthcare at age 18, Monique’s passion comes through in every interaction. She finds purpose in making a difference—combining technical skill with empathy and continuously embracing opportunities to grow.

  • Shay, Wellbeing Coordinator With years of experience in care roles, Shay brings compassion to life: organizing group activities, providing individual wellbeing support, and building confidence and friendship. She collaborates with local groups like RAMM museum, G‑Fitness, Animals2U, and Mini Concert performers to offer rich, varied experiences for our residents.

  • Rachel, Clinical Lead A fourth-generation nurse with nearly 20 years of experience - including critical care and ICU during COVID - Rachel brings a wealth of knowledge from the NHS, private practice, and even New Zealand. Her understanding of community life in Exeter - such as Wassailing and local festivals - enriches our care with personal warmth.
